Auditions

All dancers are eligible to join South of Scotland Youth Ballet Company as long as they attend weekly ballet class(es) with a recognised dance school. 


Auditions will determine which of the sections of the Company dancers will be placed into, and these will be held on Sunday 21st June 2026 for the session commencing in September 2026. All participating dancers will receive a time slot to attend and will take part in a class.


  • Fonteyn – 2 classes each Sunday morning – each month there will be one class in JR Classical syllabus and the second class will alternate between PBT and Repertoire.
  • Nureyev - 2 classes each Sunday morning - each month there will be one class in JR Classical syllabus and the second class will alternate between PBT and Repertoire.
  • Guillem - 2 classes each Sunday afternoon – each month there will be one class in JR Classical syllabus and the second class will alternate between PBT and Repertoire.
  • Acosta - 2 classes each Sunday afternoon -  each month there will be one class in JR Classical syllabus and the second class will alternate between PBT and Repertoire.
